The Blacklist Breakout Competition - Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

1.1. By submitting an entry into "The Blacklist Break Out Competition" ("the Competition"), you agree to be fully and unconditionally bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1.2. The promoter of this competition is Blacklist Productions Pty Ltd (ABN: 11631966713) of Narellan, NSW, Australia ("the Promoter").

2. Eligibility

2.1. Entry is open to all residents of Australia who are 18 years of age or older.

2.2. Entrants must be independent artists or bands. For the purpose of this competition, "independent" is defined as not currently being signed to a major record label.

2.3. Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.

3. Competition Period

3.1. The Competition commences on June 19th, 2025 at 12:00 PM AEST.

3.2. The Competition closes on June 30th, 2025 at 11:59 PM AEST ("the Competition Period").

3.3. No late entries will be accepted.

4. How to Enter

4.1. To enter, entrants must complete the official competition Google Form in its entirety and submit it during the Competition Period.

4.2. Only one entry will be accepted per artist or band. Multiple entries will be disqualified.

4.3. The submitted song must be performed by the artist.

5. Judging and Winner Notification

5.1. This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner.

5.2. All valid entries will be judged by a panel of experts led by Jay Seeney based on criteria including, but not limited to, artistic merit, commercial potential, and alignment with the Blacklist brand.

5.3. The judging will take place between 1st - 3rd July. The Promoter's decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

5.4. One (1) major prize winner ("the Winner") will be selected.

5.5. The Winner will be notified via the email address provided in their entry form by no later than the 7th of July. The Winner must respond to accept the prize within seven (7) days of notification. If no response is received, the Promoter reserves the right to select a new winner.

6. The Prize

6.1. The Winner will receive one (1) "Blacklist Break Out Package." The package includes:

a. A concept development and pre-production session with the Blacklist Productions team.

b. A single-day (up to 8 hours) professional music video shoot in the Sydney, NSW metropolitan area at a location agreed upon by the Promoter.

c. Professional editing, colour grading, and delivery of one (1) final music video file.

d. A professional photography session.

6.2. The prize does not include, and the Winner is responsible for, any and all costs not explicitly listed in clause 6.1. This includes, but is not limited to, fees for additional actors or talent, specific location hire fees, catering, wardrobe, or specialized prop hire.

6.3. The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and not redeemable for cash. The production must be scheduled and completed within six (6) months of the Winner being announced, subject to Promoter availability.

7. Travel and Accommodation

7.1. The production of the music video will occur in or around the Sydney, NSW metropolitan area.

7.2. Should the Winner reside outside of this area (interstate or otherwise), the Winner will be solely responsible for all costs associated with their travel, transfers, and accommodation required to attend the production shoot.

7.3. The Promoter will not be responsible for organizing, booking, or funding any travel or accommodation for the Winner or their associates.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1. The Winner warrants that they own and control 100% of the rights to the underlying musical composition and master recording of the submitted song.

8.2. The Promoter (Blacklist Productions Pty Ltd) will own the full copyright and all underlying rights to all video footage, sound, and other materials captured or created during the production ("the Footage").

8.3. The Promoter grants the Winner a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive license to use the final, edited music video ("the Final Video") for the purposes of promoting the Winner's musical career across their websites, social media channels, and for submission to media outlets.

8.4. The Promoter retains the right to use the Footage and the Final Video in perpetuity for its own promotional and marketing purposes, including but not limited to its website, social media channels, and showreels.

9. Publicity and Promotion

9.1. By accepting the prize, the Winner agrees to participate in reasonable promotional activities as requested by the Promoter, including but not limited to interviews and behind-the-scenes content creation.

9.2. The Winner consents to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image, and the Final Video for promotional purposes without further remuneration.

10. General Conditions

10.1. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

10.2. If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the competition.

10.3. The Promoter is not responsible for any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction that may impede an entry being submitted.

11. Privacy

11.1. All personal information collected from entrants will be handled in accordance with the Promoter's Privacy Policy. By entering this competition, you agree to be added to the Blacklist Productions mailing list for future communications regarding news, opportunities, and services, from which you can unsubscribe at any time.
